TRAVEL

Travelling fosters a medium to build human connections through experiences; the internet can only convey so much about a place.

By my late teens I had spent weeks in New York, absorbing the bustle of Times Square to the rich soul of the Harlem Gospel Choir. Soon after, I had the bug and I planned a trip through the Iberian Peninsula, spending most of my time in Barcelona exploring the work of the leader of Modernisme architechture, Gaudi. Pushing North-West into southern France, I volunteered within the Pyrenees in Lourdes, supporting pilgrims to visit the holy grotto and enjoy the blessings.

To bolster my passion with fine Art I spent a week in Paris museum-hopping, touring The Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Musée de l'Orangerie, Musée de Cluny, then up to Montmartre and beyond to Claude Monet's gardens in Giverny - absolutely fascinating to see world-famous pieces first-hand.

I have subsequently spent 4 months travelling through Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, northwards into Thailand and concluding with over a month on a motorbike from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh Vietnam - incredibly onerous but ten-times as rewarding. I found it a fascinating and diverse journey and I will continue to plan further trips into new countries each year, with a desire to broaden my social and cultural experiences.
